ATTENTION!

We are experiencing issues with our web site- until these issues are resolved, please reach out to brookhavenbike@gmail.com or call (631) 371-3886 for information.  Thank you!

Caring about the environment and supporting people in our community is important to us.  At the Brookhaven Bike Co-op our all volunteer staff collects and refurbishes unwanted bicycles that are donated by individuals or institutions; then provides them to people who are in need of transportation or have limited accessibility to a healthy activity – all in an effort to:

  • Reduce the amount of waste that ends up in our landfills
  • Provide a transportation solution
  • Promote health and well-being
  • Support our community

Our Story

Founded in 2019 and funded by the Ferguson Foundation, the Brookhaven Bike Co-op is a 501(c)3 nonprofit community bike organization. Based on a model that is successful all over the world, the cooperative is a welcoming space available to the community; providing free bicycles, classes and access to the tools needed for bicycle repair. We promote health, safety, education and the concept of “paying it forward” through Recycling, Education and Community.
